Fried Spiced Chicken
Crispy, flavorful fried chicken marinated overnight in buttermilk and coated in a custom spice blend.

- cumin powder5 ml
- onion powder5 ml
- garlic powder5 ml
- cayenne powder5 ml
- baking powder5 g
- black pepper5 ml

Method
- Clean the chicken and marinate in buttermilk in the refrigerator overnight. — 8 h
- Add all the whole spices to a grinder and grind until they form a powder. Mix all the ground spices together. — 5 min
- Add the flour to a bowl. Add 20 mL (4 tsp) of the spice mixture to the flour and stir. If desired, add an additional 5 mL (1 tsp) of salt to the flour. — 5 min
- Place the chicken on a plate and sprinkle the remaining spice mixture over both sides, then dredge the chicken in the flour mixture. — 5 min
- Heat the sunflower oil in a pot over medium heat to ensure the inside of the chicken cooks thoroughly. — 15 min
- Remove the chicken from the pot and place it on a cooling wire rack. — 2 min
